Northern Pike is distributed between the Arctic portions of North America, Europe, Asia, and Siberia.
The scientific name is Esox Lucius but they are more commonly called Jack, Snot Rocket, Water Wolf, Gators, Slimers amount others.
They have become a great sport fish due to their aggressive behavior and fighting capability. It’s been said that they will eat just about any lure and we kinda believe that, but our best luck has been casting spoons, spinners, and soft plastics at them. If you are fly fishing for these monsters, long streamers will do the trick.
